After a complete restyling of the interior of the lobby, private event room, restaurants and bar, De L'Europe Amsterdam opens its doors to guests again. All the hotel's restaurants, Bord'Eau, Brasserie Marie, Freddy's Bar and the trattoria Graziella located in 't Huys, are also open again. Original Amsterdam luxury

The hotel's distinct character and warm and inviting atmosphere have remained. The Amsterdam design studio Nicemakers opted for rich materials, warm colors and combines unique objects with antique and self-designed furniture. In a new guise

The design studio wanted to capture the traditionally characteristic luxury feeling of De L'Europe in a contemporary classic interior and at the same time the existing iconic height  to honour. They created a place where guests and visitors feel welcome and where the rich history is palpable. An important starting point was to open up the characteristic building even more to new guests and visitors by involving new spaces and partners in the hotel. For example, the new wing of the 't Huys hotel recently opened its doors in collaboration with MENDO, The Wunderkammer and Skins Spa. De L'Europe thus makes a new connection with the city of Amsterdam and creates a dynamic experience for both hotel guests and Amsterdam residents.

The round shapes, soft lines and layering in De L'Europe's new interior give it a friendly and inviting appearance. From beautiful views that invite you to walk from one room to another to the authentic 17ecentury art combined with contemporary furniture and natural rich materials. Anyone who enters the hotel will not quickly get bored. Nicemakers has managed to give each room its own character by thoroughly studying the different purposes of the rooms. Many materials and elements that were already present have been restored or reused. She combined this with unique furniture specially designed for De L'Europe, fabrics from renowned international fabric houses and antique finds that were reupholstered and restored. The various interiors together form a warm whole where guests and visitors feel at home.

Back in time…

The history of the De L'Europe Amsterdam hotel dates back to 1896. Once built on the remains of the old city wall, the hotel has developed from an exclusive hotel in the city center to a protector of Amsterdam culture and style. De L'Europe Amsterdam offers its guests 111 rooms and suites. There is a luxurious spa and wellness in the basement. The hotel also offers its guests various restaurants and bars. These are restaurant Bord'Eau where celebrated Chef Bas van Kranen is in charge of the kitchen, brasserie Marie and Freddy's bar, the legendary bar where the late Freddy Heineken liked to relax.
