Two worlds meet: Gooi and Ibiza

More and more Dutch people are buying a second home abroad. Ibiza is a European favorite. According to Gooise real estate agent Jacques Walch and Ibiza purchasing agent François Verhoeven, this is due to changing rules surrounding real estate investments, assets and inheritance law. The two will join forces at MASTERS EXPO to present their housing offering together.

More and more Dutch people are buying a (second) home abroad. Ibiza is a European favorite. According to Gooise real estate agent Jacques Walch and Ibiza purchasing agent François Verhoeven, this is due to the changing rules surrounding real estate investments, assets and inheritance law. The two will join forces at MASTERS EXPO and jointly present their housing offering.

As seasoned real estate specialists and developers in the Netherlands and Ibiza, both real estate agents notice a shift. Never before has such a clear change been visible. ''The rules of the game surrounding real estate have changed. This causes many Dutch people to move abroad for tax and physical reasons,” says François Verhoeven, who has been running a successful purchasing agency in Ibiza for a long time. He sees that rent regulation, the new box-3 tax and the expected increase in inheritance tax ensure that Dutch people no longer invest their capital in Dutch real estate, but elsewhere.

Dutch real estate agent Jacques Walch, who manages about thirty real estate agents from five real estate agencies, also sees a clear shift. Many of his clients are interested in a house abroad. To buy your own second home or to rent it out. “Ibiza beckons with an interesting living environment. Understandable, since investing in Dutch real estate is no longer as interesting as before.”

Jacques and François and their teams have been working together for a long time. They say this is mainly due to the overlap in clientele and their preference for Ibiza. They present their housing offer from the joint stand in hall 12 at stand number 90.

In addition, Voorma en Walch Makelaars in het Gooi presented the December edition of its magazine on December 8. The very first copy was presented to none other than Bertram Beerbaum of Kabaz, the famous inspiration for interior design. The new magazine contains an extensive interview with Bertram, in which he shares, among other things, his own dream house in the Gooi with the grand public.
