Final Victory: The Ferrari Daytona SP3
In 2019, Le Mans '66 was released, about a dispute that Ford and Ferrari fought on the track. The film presented it as the victory of an American underdog over arrogant Italians. It also certainly hurt Enzo Ferrari when, after six consecutive victories in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, his cars were beaten by the Ford GT in 1966. ENZO'S REVENGE
Because even though Ferrari couldn't really compete with the giant from Detroit, the Italians struck back in February 1967. During the American long-distance race, the 24 Hours of Daytona, Ferrari scored a 1-2-3. Ferrari is now celebrating that victory with the Ferrari Daytona SP3, a lightning-fast tribute to the Ferrari 330 P3, which formed the basis for all three cars on the podium. The styling of the SP3 is strongly based on this 330 P3, which is seen by many enthusiasts as the most beautiful racing car ever. Price: about three million including taxes.
