The days of flat printing are long behind us. 3D printing is the thing that many companies are already making good use of. From cars to bicycles and food to a champagne bottle. It all seems to be becoming more and more normal and the possibilities are becoming endless. GROHE magic in the bathroom
Washbasin faucets They come in all shapes and sizes, but everyone is familiar with all the designs by now. And 'that's boring', GROHE thought. Imagine: a tap that is completely personalized and cannot be found in any bathroom in the world. With the Icon 3D washbasin taps, GROHE transforms a water flow into a magical, optical illusion, which raises the big question of whether real water can come out of it. Anyway!
The 3D printing process makes every product unique. And although the technology of 3D printing is not new, the high quality of this series is. Each component of the crane consists of approx 4700 layers of metal each 0,06 millimeter thick, so you can't just knock the tap off the sink. After printing, each component is processed, manually ground and brushed. Due to this intensive production process, the edition of the collection is limited to only a few pieces per year, so with a washbasin tap from this series you acquire a very exclusive and unique washbasin tap. With the GROHE Icon 3D there are no more limits to personalization.
This series is a combination of the latest digital technology and handmade, proven GROHE quality. For the design, the sanitary specialist completely redesigned two of the iconic and existing designs.
