The four C's

GASSAN is a reliable and official dealer of over twenty of the world's most prestigious jewellery brands and over sixty of the world's most exclusive watch brands. These different brands are sold in all GASSAN stores. Mix & match jewelry, Choices by DL and the unique 'more than brilliant' cut 'GASSAN 121' are both designed, developed and manufactured in-house.

In addition to cutting diamonds, today's core activity is to inform visitors from all over the world about the famous four C's (carat, color, clarity and cut) that together determine the final value of each diamond. GASSAN adds a fifth C, for confidence. They like to share their knowledge and passion by guiding their visitors through the magical world of diamonds. They offer the ultimate opportunity to personalize diamond jewelry by offering countless choices and options.

family business

The company was founded shortly after the war by Samuel Gassan, in October 1945. GASSAN Diamonds imported and exported both rough and polished diamonds. In addition, colored gemstones and diamond jewelry were also traded.

Samuel Gassan died at the age of 73 on July 4, 1982 and his grandsons Benno and Guy Leeser became the new owners of the company. Benno, married Kitty Leeser later that year. David Bijlsma, Kitty's son, joined GASSAN Schiphol in 1989. Benno and Kitty's daughter Debora Leeser joined GASSAN in 2005. Choices by DL, a unique and patented concept, is a creation of Debora Leeser.
