GASSAN and Range Rover join forces

Last Thursday, GASSAN and Range Rover joined forces for an exclusive experience at the HOUSE of GASSAN. Guests got a behind-the-scenes look at the diamond cutting factory, listened to entrepreneurial stories, and then got behind the wheel themselves.

At GASSAN's monumental diamond factory, guests were given a behind-the-scenes look at the cutting process: from rough stone to sparkling jewelry. During a tour of the iconic building, the group learned about the centuries-old craft and the rich history of the family business.

Debora Huisman-Leeser, creative director of GASSAN and founder of Choices by DL, spoke candidly about her entrepreneurial journey. "The idea was actually for me to follow in my grandfather's footsteps in his fashion business," Debora reveals. She traded her law studies for the Amsterdam Fashion Institute and started as an assistant buyer at the family business. But she quickly realized she lacked the freedom, and she also spotted a gap in the market: "Clients were looking for a green cocktail ring to go with a green evening dress, and that simply wasn't available in the high-end segment."

Ultimately, she decided to develop her own brand within GASSAN: Choices by DL. "Nobody at GASSAN was surprised that I, only 23 years old, showed up with an idea," says Debora. "Hard work is in our genes; it was instilled in me from birth. Entrepreneurial spirit is too; we always think in terms of business opportunities."

Outside, another gem awaited: the latest Range Rover. Under the guidance of an instructor, guests got behind the wheel for a test drive through Amsterdam.
