Fresh, pure and colourful: the work of the 21-year-old RAIDER

With a great passion for art and his striking sculptures, the 21-year-old RAIDER is gradually conquering the world. Central to his work is the fictional character Scoop. This autumn the artist's work can be admired in various places.

RAIDER represents a new, young generation of contemporary artists and attracts the attention of many galleries and collectors. He lives and works in Amsterdam and completed a Creative Design course in Utrecht. In addition to sculptures, the creator makes digital works of art, screen prints, neon designs and wall objects. A Scoop sculpture was even included in the collection of MOYA – Museum of Young Art. RAIDER's work has its own unique signature. It can best be described as fresh, pure and colorful.

According to his own words, the mysterious Scoop comes from another planet and discovers our Earth. The creature is friendly, curious and reflects on people's behavior with a childlike innocence. From small (10 cm) to large (180 cm): the sculptures are made of synthetic resin and available as Limited Editions in different colors and sizes, including in bronze. Each sculpture is made and painted entirely by hand. 

Nod to science

For the design of Scoop, RAIDER uses spheres as primary elements and nods to science by discovering alien life forms. He is inspired by film, animation, music and travel. The creator experiments in a traditional way with all available techniques and materials.
