The festival season has already started and there will be quite a bit of dancing in the near future. Not only in the Netherlands, but all over the world, the beats are pumping from the speakers and people are enjoying a good party, some spread over several days. In the Netherlands you pay between €60 and €100 for a festival, but these festivals go one step further. Here you will have to dig a little deeper into your festive pockets. These are the five festivals with the highest entrance fees.
5. Lollapalooza (€355)
This festival in Chicago's Grant Park hosts many heavy metal, alternative rock, punk and hip-hop bands, as well as dance and comedy performances. For €355 you can access all four days and prices for a single day ticket start at €121.
4. Glastonbury Festival (€389)
For 389 euros you have the chance to admire superstars such as Elton John, Guns N' Roses, Lil Nas In addition to rock and pop concerts, for which the festival is known, you can also enjoy dance, cabaret, circus and other performances. The festival takes place from June 21 to 25 at Worthy Farm, close to Gastonbury.
3. Outside Lands (€420)
With headliners such as Kendrick Lamar, Lana del Rey, Odezda and the Foofighters, the prices per ticket cannot be bad. Want to see all the top artists? Admission to the three-day festival – which takes place from August 11 to 13 – in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco costs around €420. If you want to take it a bit easier and visit for one day, you will pay €186. for down.

2. Coachella (€515)
The most famous festival on this list is Coachella. Every visitor walks across the glass field wearing an extremely well thought-out outfit and there is a good chance that you will bump into a famous (Hollywood) star. The musical performances are certainly not bad either. Many artists such as Beyoncé, Kanye West and Justin Bieber have already performed on stage here. To walk around the grounds for three days, you paid around €515 last year. You also have to take into account buying refreshments, which are also not bad. For example, you pay around € 26 for a vodka cola and for two breakfast burritos you quickly have to pay € 60 at the cash register. Single-day admission is not available for this festival.
1. Burning Man (€575)
Burning Man takes place from August 1 to September 27 at number 4. The seven-day festival in Nevada symbolizes a surreal city, with all the principles that entails. The festival attracts 50.000 visitors from all over the world, all of whom have managed to get a scarce ticket. 4.000 tickets are offered in the pre-sale: 1000 tickets for € 2.750 each and 3.000 for € 1.500. During regular sales you pay around €575 for a ticket, but then you have access to the event for seven days.
