Forget the stilettos. Christian Louboutin decides to enter the hospitality industry with his red sole. The French-Egyptian designer announces that he will open a luxury hotel in Portugal. And good news: faster than expected. For those who are looking for a nice holiday address this summer...
The hotel was named after – how could it be otherwise – the characteristic color of the Louboutin soles. Red namely means red in Portuguese. Located in the small village of Melides, the hotel was initially discovered accidentally by Louboutin. The designer has a nomadic one lifestyle and came across the property during a trip through the region in the late 1980s. He enlisted longtime friend and architect Madalena Caiado to transform the building into a true Palace.
In the interior of Vermelho, wooden floors are combined with custom-made mosaics and murals. The boutique hotel has just thirteen rooms spread over three floors. However, you should not expect the same wallpaper as your neighbors: every room is unique.
Tribute to Egypt
The wellness area pays tribute to Egypt with alabaster walls and caramel tones. Here you as a guest can enjoy a range of treatments to fully relax.
Mark April 1 in your calendar, as the fashionable hotel opens its doors to guests on this date.
