Electrifying Bond car
In 1964, Aston Martin made its debut as the James Bond car in the film Goldfinger. Partly thanks to 007, Aston Martin is a very popular car brand. The original Bond car is the DB5, but the DB4 and DB6 differ visually very little. However: all three are classics, so a bit old-fashioned. Things like driving comfort, emissions, braking and handling could use an update. Lunaz Group, which is based in Silverstone, 'the Home of British Motor Racing', goes even further than a simple update: it provides classic Rolls-Royces, Jaguars, Bentleys and Aston Martins with a new electric powertrain. The restoration and modification process brings driving pleasure into the 21st century. That is not cheap, because the pictured Electrified Aston Martin DB6 costs at least a million before taxes.
