These Are The Five Youngest Billionaires In The World
A part-time job, a student room, perhaps a gap year – that is how most twenty-somethings fill their days. But some of their peers are already managing billions.
A part-time job, a student room, maybe a gap year – that’s what most twenty-somethings fill their days with. But for these five young people, the path is a little different. With impressive fortunes and surnames that already have a firm place in the world of industry, pharmaceuticals and technology, they are among the youngest billionaires of 2025.
1. Johannes von Baumbach (19)
The youngest billionaire on earth? That honor will go to Johannes von Baumbach in 2025, heir to the German pharmaceutical empire Boehringer Ingelheim. With a fortune of no less than €5 billion, he leaves many CEOs far behind – and that before he has even started a career.
The name Baumbach may not ring a bell, but in the pharmaceutical world it is an established name. Boehringer Ingelheim – founded in 1885 – is today the largest private pharmaceutical company in the world. The family business produces medicines for COPD, thrombosis and diabetes, among other things, and has more than 53.000 employees in 130 countries.
Whether Johannes himself will play a role within the organization remains unknown for the time being – as does the involvement of his three brothers and sisters.
2. Livia Voigt de Assis (20)
Lívia Voigt de Assis, twenty years young, inherited a significant stake in the Brazilian electronics group WEG, worth an estimated €1.1 billion.
WEG – with annual sales of approximately $6.7 billion in 2024 – is the largest manufacturer of electric motors in Latin America. The company was founded by her grandfather, Werner Ricardo Voigt, together with the late billionaires Eggon João da Silva and Geraldo Werninghaus. Today, WEG has grown into a publicly traded multinational with factories in more than ten countries.
Lívia owns a 3,1% stake in the company together with her sister, but does not hold a board or management position. Instead, she focuses on her psychology studies at university. Publicity? She has little need for it. After Forbes named her the world's youngest billionaire last year, she announced on social media that she prefers to stay out of the spotlight.
3. Clemente Del Vecchio (20)
Clemente Del Vecchio, twenty years young, is heir to a brilliant empire: Luxottica, the world's largest eyewear manufacturer. With an estimated fortune of €6.1 billion, he is not only one of the youngest, but also the richest among the five youngest billionaires in the world.
Clemente is the youngest son of Italian billionaire Leonardo Del Vecchio, the founder of Luxottica, who died in 2022. This company is at the cradle of almost everything related to eyewear fashion: from Ray-Ban to Oakley, and from Vogue Eyewear to Chanel sunglasses.
After his father's death, Clemente, together with his brothers and sisters, inherited a significant shareholding in Delfin, the family's investment vehicle, which has interests in EssilorLuxottica, insurance companies and real estate, among others.
4. Kim Jung-youn (21)
If you game, chances are it’s through Nexon – one of the world’s largest online game developers. And at the top of this digital empire is 21-year-old Kim Jung-youn, with an estimated net worth of €1.2 billion.
Jung-youn, along with her older sister, inherited a stake of around 9% in the parent company NXC, which in turn is the largest shareholder in Nexon. The gaming giant – founded by their father, Kim Jung-ju, in 1994 – manages more than 80 live games. Nexon serves gamers in more than 190 countries, from Seoul to São Paulo.
5. Kevin David Lehmann (22)
He's only 22, but he owns half of a drugstore chain that turns over more than $14 billion a year. Kevin David Lehmann, the youngest of a quiet but extremely wealthy family of entrepreneurs. His current estimated net worth? €3.3 billion.
Kevin inherited his fortune at the age of fourteen, when his father discreetly put his 50% share in dm-drogerie markt in his name. This chain – founded in 1973 by Goetz Werner in Karlsruhe – grew to become the largest drugstore chain in Germany, with more than 3.700 stores spread across Europe.
