If you think space is always at a premium in New York, you’ve clearly not heard of this penthouse at 551 West 21st Street. With over 930 square feet of living space and a 18-foot pool, this home takes city living to a whole new level. And that pool? It’s the largest private outdoor pool in the city. Think: swimming laps with a view of the Hudson.

The home, which occupies the entire top floor of a tower designed by Foster + Partners, recently underwent a three-year renovation by top designers Ingrao Design and De La Torre Design Studio.

Inside, you get a living room to die for. Floor-to-ceiling windows of 5,5 meters high provide a panorama that will leave you speechless. Hudson River, downtown Manhattan, and if you look closely, Lady Liberty herself.

Upstairs, on the 420 square meter roof terrace, the pool and the view steal the show. But also the outdoor grill, lawns and a staircase contribute to the holiday feeling. And if you ever want to leave your front door: the building itself offers everything from a yoga studio and spa to a playroom for the kids. 

The price tag? $75 million. But that comes with New York’s largest private pool.
