The Lindengracht has gained another culinary hotspot. Michelin-starred restaurant Daalder has opened its doors at the spot where it all began ten years ago. For chef Dennis Huwaë, the return feels like “the right moment to return to the essence”.

Over the past ten years, Daalder has grown into one of Amsterdam's most distinctive restaurants. With an international signature, an eye for precision, and a relaxed energy, the restaurant has secured a permanent place in Dutch top gastronomy. That signature remains unchanged. What does change, however, is the setting. Guests sit closer to the kitchen and experience the Daalder Experience in a more intimate environment, where all attention is focused on taste, craftsmanship, and hospitality.

“The past ten years have been dedicated to building and discovering. Now it feels like the right moment to return to the essence, with more focus, more calm, and an even sharper vision of what Daalder should be,” says Dennis Huwaë.

Moreover, the return to the Jordaan ushers in a new phase. In addition to the restaurant, Daalder is working on a complementary concept intended to further expand the experience.

And what about Daalder's old location? It has since been given a completely new look. BRONS opened its doors in Het Sieraad, the new all-day neighborhood café by Dennis Huwaë and Frans van Dam, where you can go from your first coffee to your last drink.
