At Chanel, Matthieu Blazy's couture debut took center stage. He transported guests to a fairytale world, transforming the Grand Palace with towering rose trees and walking the models past gigantic mushrooms.
This set the stage for a collection that was equally dreamy, with a bright, light signature, where soft colors, refined textures, and natural influences took center stage. The collaboration with the ateliers underscored Blazy's ability to approach couture in a contemporary way.
Dior Haute Couture
Another couture debut was for Jonathan Anderson, who presented his first couture collection for Dior with a clear focus on nature and form. The show unfolded under a ceiling covered in moss and blossoms, and the collection was literally in full bloom. Flowers and plants appeared in every look, as earrings or brooches, carried in the hand, or even as parasols. The silhouettes were bold and voluminous, approaching couture as an experimental platform. Anderson demonstrated how heritage and artistic freedom can intertwine within the House of Dior.
Schiaparelli Haute Couture
A striking opening act of the week, perfectly in line with haute couture 2026, was Schiaparelli with a collection by Daniel Roseberry that focused on nature and fantasy. Tops and dresses transformed into scorpion tails, birds, and reptilian shapes.
The collection repositioned Schiaparelli as a couture house known for exploring form, volume and concept, at a high level.
