The Field Kitchen

The Rhijnauwen and Amelisweerd estates are a stone's throw from Utrecht. Together they cover approximately 300 hectares, consisting of forest, meadow, river, fields and orchards. The area is characterized by its great variety and beautiful views. You will find the Veldkeuken on the Amelisweerd estate. An excellent place to settle down for a while. It is an organic restaurant where you can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner. In the evening the so-called Harvest Table dinner is served here. A changing three-course menu, made with harvest from the vegetable gardens.

Restaurant Merkelbach

Fancy an autumn walk, but would you rather not be too far from the city? Then choose Park Frankendael. The largest and most important ecological park in Amsterdam. The historic gardens around the Frankendael estate have been restored to their former glory. Nowadays you will find restaurant Merkelbach in Huize Frankendael itself. The menu includes apple pie and banana bread, but you can also opt for a gnocchi of herbs with roasted cime di rapa and beurre blanc of fermented vegetables and crispy risotto with Jerusalem artichoke, green tomato and ricotta from Ransdorp.

WOODZMore 

You will find WOODZ in the middle of the Veluwezoom National Park. A cozy place where you can catch your breath. Various walking routes pass the restaurant: for example, the route along Beekhuizen, Keienberg and Veluwezoom of four kilometers or the brown route along Heuven, Beekhuizen and Veluwezoom of 9 kilometers. Take a seat inside or on the covered and heated terrace with a sheep rug.

Outside in the den

The Utrechtse Heuvelrug consists of a series of forests and hills, endless hiking trails, estates, beautiful villages. Is your hike planned near Lage Vuursche by any chance? IEvery day of the week you can go to Buiten in de kuil. Take something tasty with you during your walk or take a seat on the terrace for coffee and cake, a drink, salad, fresh fries or hamburgers. 

Boshuis Venkraai

Just over 100 years ago, this old forester's house in Oisterwijk was transformed to provide walkers, cyclists and riders with a snack or drink. Today you can still go there for a fresh piece of apple pie, hot chocolate or a soup.
