Mona Keizer

Former State Secretary for Economic Affairs and Climate Mona Keijzer was fired in September last year after she was critical of the corona policy in De Telegraaf: 'I knew that the interview would lead to my dismissal'. In these highlights, Mona and Yves talk about the petition 'Undivided Open', Volendam, Hugo de Jonge, politics, parliamentary surveys, walking in the mountains and life.

Caroline van der Plas

Party leader of the BoerBurgerBeweging (BBB), Caroline van der Plas, sat down at Yves's table. The farmers' frontwoman founded her party in 2019 and won one seat in the House of Representatives earlier this year. She was recently mocked during a debate by Hugo de Jonge and Mark Rutte, who called her party 'tripple-B': “Those are two rotten boys in the sandbox who want to push the new girl at school out, and we are not going to do that !”. She called Rutte to task afterwards and demanded a public apology: “I'm not saying you're a jerk, but I'm saying you should apologize.” He complied and apologized during the next debate. She is clear about his position as Prime Minister: “He has made quite a few mistakes and lied. I don't think you can be Prime Minister and he should have resigned much earlier." Furthermore, Yves, the self-described 'farmer without a farm', speaks about life without her beloved Jan, who died in 2019, the Sywert van Lienden issue is discussed and it is about politics in The Hague: “It is not my world. My world is common sense and practical solutions.”

Audrey van Ham

A passionate conversation with an outstanding lady: Audrey van Ham, the former CEO of Christine le Duc. She operated in a world that, in 2021, is still taboo. Yet in times of corona it became more apparent than ever that 'sex sells': “Our turnover had tripled”. But there is also always someone in this industry who has 'something to complain about'. Everyone has an opinion about the world of eroticism. Yves' advice: 'Set your own course, you can't please everyone'. Naturally, the best-selling toys were discussed during the podcast: 'The air pressure vibrator is an orgasm cannon'. It would almost give you red ears...

Lale Gul

Lale Gül is only 25 years old and has already established her name in the Dutch literary world. 'I'M GOING TO LIVE' was in the top 10 of the Bestseller list. In this pamphletean novel, Lale describes under her alter ego Büsra what it is like to live in a Turkish, strictly religious family in Amsterdam, in which the inequality between men and women is clearly highlighted. Lale has received many death threats since the publication of her book, but last year a suspect was finally arrested. As a precaution, Lale was still in a safe and unknown place, so that she could find the peace she so desperately wanted. Why did Lale write this book, did she not throw herself and especially her family under the bus, from what political quarters did she receive support and will her relationship with her parents ever improve?

Birgitte de Winter

Birgitte de Winter is the director of one of the Netherlands' most famous concert halls: AFAS Live. AFAS Live has existed for 20 years. AFAS Live has been hit hard by corona, but there is of course light at the end of the tunnel. What was 2020 and 2021 like for AFAS Live, when can the Netherlands finally let loose again, what was the most bizarre dressing room requirement according to Birgitte and which artists have found a place in the track record of AFAS Live?

Yves spoke to diva Connie Witteman in Ouderkerk aan de Amstel. She started as a model in America, became a singer and sex bomb, set the charts 'Upside Down', formed a glamor couple with Hans Breukhoven, started a beauty clinic as an entrepreneur and in the meantime became the queen of anti-aging. She has had a flirt and a subscription to the tabloids for forty years. And that is not surprising, because there is always something to report about Connie: if she is not in the charts, then she suddenly finds herself in court or she has a new company...

Emmy Chair

General manager of Sofitel Legend The Grand Amsterdam, Emmy Stoel, talked in the podcast about the period when the doors of hotel The Grand were closed to guests, but behind the scenes work was being done on the maintenance of the rooms in the hotel. The podcast looked ahead to the one-and-a-half-meter economy and how a large hotel like The Grand had to anticipate it. Creativity and inventiveness are necessary in this.

Important conventions such as those in Miami, large-scale festivals in Las Vegas, the entire Ibiza period this summer, everything was cancelled. Amsterdam Dance Event was still penciled in on the calendar in October, but was that realistic...

In 2020, Yves spoke with the director of the Netherlands Red Cross, Marieke van Schaik. It seemed as if it was forgotten that besides fighting the coronavirus, there were no other health problems.
