Balenciaga sells bag of chips for €3,000

Balenciaga is no stranger to presenting fashion items that raise many eyebrows. Last year a pair of sneakers were added to the collection, which looked as if they had lasted an entire festival season. If you wanted to get a pair of 'new' sneakers, you quickly had to pay € 1.750.

Now the brand is going one step further by launching a handbag in the shape of a bag of Lay's chips. This also has a hefty price tag of no less than €3.000. This is an estimate, as the official price has not yet been announced. But if we look at other bags, this amount will not be far off. 'A bag of chips is not just something you can eat in one go while watching your favorite Netflix film,' the brand must have thought. The designers probably had a lot of fun during the process and the source of inspiration during the session is obvious.

The Potato Chip Bag, as the bag is called, was presented during Paris Fashion Week, where Balenciaga unveiled the collection for spring and summer 2023. It's safe to say that this item was the standout item at this show. The calfskin bag is unisex, so it can be worn by both men and women.
