As a new landmark for Seoul, the organization behind the so-called Seoul Ring investigated various locations. It took some searching, but ultimately Haneul Park was chosen. The view over the city here is fantastic.  

The spokeless wheel will be no less than 591 meters high. However, the advanced design does bring some challenges. For example, the city has consulted both domestic and international experts to ensure safety and environmental friendliness. 

There's something fishy about that

In addition to providing entertainment, the structure will also house a cultural complex that will offer visitors the opportunity to learn more about the history of the area. For example, the park where the Seoul Ring will be built has long been a garbage dump. Between 1978 and 1993, an average of 3000 trucks per day unloaded waste here. This ultimately resulted in a mountain of waste 98 meters high. The place has now been transformed into an ecological park, where the Seoul Ring is being built as the icing on the cake. 

Before you want to book tickets right away: the Ferris wheel is expected to be ready in 2025. Until then, you can enjoy the drawings.
