Treehotel, Harads, Sweden

You will find the Treehotel in the northern forests of Sweden. Named Best Themed Hotel in the World by World Travel Awards in 2020. In a Bob Ross landscape you will find the coolest 'rooms' high in the trees in genuine Swedish design: Mirror Cube, Cabin, Birds Nest, UFO, Blue Cone, Dragonfly or the Seventh Room. Climb up a rope ladder to your own sanctuary and enter a world where time has stood still. And yes: comfort everywhere, including underfloor heating. Quite nice when it's freezing 20 degrees outside...

North Pole Igloos, 

Meet the northernmost hotel in the world... The concept of North Pole Igloos is portable, sustainable and a bit extreme. But during the extreme Arctic weather conditions, you will at least be nice and warm in this igloo. The total package includes various amenities, such as a private bathroom, a location manager, an arctic wilderness survival guide, a chef and first-class security. The heated igloos are equipped with a glass roof, so you can enjoy the wonders of the Northern Lights even from your bed.

Hotel Everest View, Nepal

Opened in 1971, this pearl of a place to sleep has been in the Guinness Book of World Record since 2004 as the highest hotel. The height? 3880 meters. As the name suggests, you really get EverestView, from every room guests can enjoy the mesmerizing view of Mount Everest. And for people who are short on time or just want a bit of luxury in the high mountains: a direct helicopter flight can be arranged to reach the hotel.

The Manta Resort, Zanzibar

In the snow, in a tree and on a mountain; then a place to sleep in the water should of course not be missing. At The Manta Resort you can choose to stay in one of the 'garden rooms', in one of the new seaside villas with sun terrace or to stay on the floating private island with 'underwater room'…

Balancing precariously on the edge of a cliff all night may be the stuff of nightmares, but at Skylodge Adventure Suites they're more like sweet dreams. After a 1200-foot climb, the pods, made of aerospace-grade aluminum and weather-resistant polycarbonate, make for a luxurious evening before you figure out how to get back down. The pods have four beds, a dining area and a private bathroom, not to mention 300-degree views.
