Pentecost is around the corner, which means an extra day to celebrate the good life properly. Think champagne.

Pentecost is just around the corner, and that means: an extra day to celebrate the good life in style. Think champagne in the park, Asian street food on Museumplein, art behind Jordanian doors, and dancing amidst the greenery. MASTERS lists five stylish tips for a Pentecost weekend with taste.

Fête du Champagne Festival | Rembrandt Park, Amsterdam

During the Whitsun weekend, Rembrandtpark once again transforms into a charming piece of France for Fête du Champagne & Vins. Is it as good as it sounds? Yes Yes. Expect more than a hundred different champagnes and French wines, favorite classics from French cuisine such as oysters and fine cheeses, French chansons, pétanque, and spectacular sabrage demonstrations.

Little Spoon | NDSM shipyard, Amsterdam North

During the Whitsun weekend, the NDSM shipyard once again transforms into a large open-air festival for Lepeltje Lepeltje. For four days, everything here revolves around good food, great music, and a relaxed festival atmosphere along the IJ.

Open Studios Jordaan | Jordan, Amsterdam

During the Whitsun weekend, artists from the Jordaan open their doors for the Open Ateliers Jordaan. For three days, between 12:00 and 18:00, you can walk into the studios of new talent as well as established names. From portraits and design to interactive installations: virtually all art techniques are represented. The best part? You are not just looking at art, but literally stepping into the creator's world. The Open Ateliers have been organized for and by artists for years and return to the neighborhood every other year. This makes it not only a cultural route, but also an ode to the Jordaan itself: quirky, warm, and always in motion.

Art of Taste: Asian Edition | Museumplein, Amsterdam

In the mood to go on a culinary journey during the Whitsun weekend without leaving Amsterdam? Then the Asian Edition of Art of Taste on Museumplein is a flavorful stop. For three days, it's all about Asian street food, live music, food trucks, and a relaxed festival atmosphere in the sun. Expect flavors from Japan, Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, and the Philippines, among others.

Spring Cabinet The Twiske

For those who prefer to celebrate Pentecost with the sun on their faces and music among the trees, Lentekabinet is an excellent choice. Dekmantel’s spring festival returns to Het Twiske, just north of Amsterdam, on May 23 and 24. Expect an artistic mix of electronic music, live acts, and culture in a green open-air setting. The program includes Honey Dijon, Job Jobse, Chris Stussy & Shanti Celeste, Sef, Sophie Straat, Young Marco, and Seth Troxler, among others.
