The Macallan Horizon brings together traditional craftsmanship and advanced precision engineering. The premium single malt Scotch whisky is presented in an innovative horizontal bottle with a unique, automotive-inspired 180-degree twist detail. This collaboration between The Macallan and Bentley Motors uses materials that are essential to both brands. These include recycled copper from The Macallan’s old stills, oak from one of the casks used to mature this whisky and inspired by the aesthetics of the Bentley Drive Dynamic Control dial, and Bentley’s Crown Cut Walnut veneer that finishes the sculpture that wraps the bottle. The whisky’s rich and lingering finish, in which dried fruits and spicy notes balance with oak and leather, reflects the timeless quality and design of the car. The Macallan Horizon is available in an edition of 700 bottles (70cl) at a price of $50.000.

Table with roots

Brazilian designer Sofia Venetucci took her inspiration from tree trunks for the Tronco coffee table series, emphasizing the natural grain of the wood, which is shaped by colorful ropes. These ropes are precisely applied, one by one, creating a harmonious pattern that reflects the natural curves and rings of the trunk. Its aesthetic impact and dedication to sustainability, through the use of recycled materials, make it a striking addition to any space.

Robot choir

Dutch design duo Paul&Albert merge art, technology and emotion in the installation CH01R: a collective of individual robots that sing about technological development, dependency, destruction and true love. Each robot has its own computer and its own, partly AI-generated, sounds. Because they are constantly connected to each other, they can perform their song in sync. While they sing, they also translate the sound into light, resulting in a choreography of light that supports and amplifies the music.

With the exhibition With Time shows the Japanese design collective KIKA, consisting of Zuika Owada, Tetsuya Kumagai and Naoyuki Kiyota, the transformation of materials through natural aging into beautifully crafted product designs. Take a hand-bound notebook, which evolves from virgin paper into a repository of daily experiences, while the cover is corroded by the ravages of time. Or an iron vase that gives space to the beauty of rust, while an aluminum one with its layered colors evokes changing landscapes. Embracing the transient.

In his work, Casper Braat is driven by his deep fascination for consumer society. For humanity, convenience comes before everything else, which manifests itself in a need for luxury and an obsession with the new. Casper's sculptures and installations, with an emphasis on craftsmanship and the use of materials such as marble and gold, glorify the everyday by placing the ordinary on a pedestal. His works are made to last forever and immortalize the abundance of the present for future generations. For his series Forever transforms disposable devices into enduring monuments. Each sculpture symbolizes our society’s paradoxical relationship with consumption – a celebration of the present at the expense of sustainability for the future.
