Looking for a reason to reunite with those old friends or just fancy a fun outing? Then it's time to get out your calendar, because the month of May is full of food and wine festivals. That means wandering around for hours past tasty food trucks, swaying to good music and sounding like the good life. MASTERS lists a number of them.

Rolling Kitchens | May 8 to 12

From May 8 to 12, the Westerpark in Amsterdam will be transformed into a lively open-air restaurant again. More than 100 different mobile kitchens will serve their dishes here; from our own country and from across the border. All while enjoying fine wines, special beers and live music. And best of all: admission to the tasty spectacle is free. 

TREK Rotterdam | May 9 to 12 

It's a party this year, because the festival is blowing out 10 candles. In Rotterdam's Vroesenpark you can take a seat at the Chefs Table at one of the mobile food trucks, where you can taste surprising ingredients and discover new flavors. From sushi to Surinamese, from vegetarian to burgers; a tasty weekend lies ahead. In addition, musical talent and various theater makers get the opportunity to perform at the festival. Any other plans this weekend? This year TREK will also settle in Maastricht, Utrecht, Nijmegen, Tilburg, 's-Hertogenbosch, Amsterdam and The Hague.

Spoon Spoon | May 17 to 20 

Broaden your culinary horizons at Lepeltje Lepeltje and discover a diverse selection of dishes and cuisines on the concrete grounds of the NDSM wharf. Each mobile kitchen has its own specialty and offers options for every budget, including at least one vegetarian option. During the day, live bands and various DJs create a relaxed atmosphere, while in the evening the vibrant beats will, in their own words, 'take you to a lively night full of energy.'

The Wine Festival | May 24 to 26 

More of the alcoholic grape juice? The Garenmarktplein in Leiden will be transformed into a cozy wine festival from 24 to 26 May. Be pampered by an extensive selection of more than 100 different wines.

TOOST Festival | May 24 to 26

Finger-licking good, at least according to the organizers of TOOST. The food line-up takes you to many corners of the world and has something for every taste. Stroll past the food trucks, toast with special wines or a freshly brewed ice tea. The festival in Wijk bij Duurstede also promises that the little TOOSTers will also have a day of fun.
