Midnight Sky is a post-apocalyptic film where George Clooney not only stars, but also serves as director. Augustine, a lonely but brilliant scientist in the Arctic, is stranded in the icy natural landscape after a global catastrophe. He tries to contact a group of astronauts and does everything he can to prevent them from returning to Earth during a mysterious world disaster. A combination of suspense, drama and science fiction.

This intriguing documentary about the freedom struggle in Ukraine received an Oscar nomination for best documentary. During the freezing winter months of 2013 and 2014, the Ukrainian people rose up in rebellion, demanding the resignation of President Viktor Yanukovych. Filmmaker Evgeny Afineevsky dared with his camera to capture images during this noisy period in the middle of the massive demonstrations on Maidan Square in Kiev. Already in the first minutes a picture was created of how intense things were there. A young boy laughingly talks about the corpses he had to drag and he also says that nothing surprises him anymore. Shortly afterwards, a protester is shot off-screen. A compelling documentary that immediately captivates the viewer.
