Clouds, Luxury and For Sale: New York's Most Expensive Home

Four stories, over 300 feet tall, and views across multiple states, this quadplex in the Steinway Tower is anything but average. With 1.066 square feet of floor space, five bedrooms, six bathrooms, and a 57-square-foot terrace, this is a vertical villa in the heart of Manhattan.

The location? Billionaire's Row, of course. Once home to the Steinway & Sons showroom, the site is now home to the world's narrowest skyscraper. Completed in 2022, the tower was designed by SHoP Architects.

Studio Sofield designed the interior. A reception floor with a 15-metre-long living room, floor-to-ceiling windows and ceilings of over four metres high. One floor up are guest suites, above that an entire floor as a master suite—including two dressing rooms and two bathrooms clad in onyx. And at the top: the 'crown suite' with a bar, screening room, kitchen and a terrace with a view of all of Manhattan.

Deep in the pouch

Of course, there is a private elevator and a staircase that connects the four floors. And the rest of the tower? It is equipped with everything you would expect on Billionaire's Row: a private porte-cochère, private dining rooms, a communal roof terrace, a swimming pool, a wellness center with a fitness room, a paddle court and even a golf simulator.

Anyone who wants to call this place home will have to dig deep into their pockets: the asking price is the equivalent of around €101.85 million. But then you get something—namely the most expensive penthouse in New York in the narrowest skyscraper in the world…
