Five hotels compete for the MICHELIN Wellness Award 2026

Wellness has long moved beyond a massage and a swimming pool. At the leading hotels, it now shapes the entire stay: from architecture and gastronomy to nature, movement and health. Michelin selected five places for the MICHELIN Wellness Award 2026. MASTERS presents the five nominees.

Chablé Yucatán – Mexico

Nestled in the greenery of Yucatán lies a former hacienda estate where the spa is built around a natural cenote. Modern wellness is combined here with Maya traditions, from massages and meditation to local rituals. The standalone casitas with private pools make the stay as special as the spa itself.

Price tag: from approximately €1,220 per night.

Schloss Elmau – Germany

In the heart of the Bavarian Alps lies a resort that is almost the size of a small wellness village. Spread across two hotels are six spas, nine swimming pools and plenty of space for sport, culture and gastronomy. Concerts and literature are given a place as naturally as saunas and treatments.

Price tag: from approximately €700 per night for two people, including breakfast.

Grand Resort Bad Ragaz – Switzerland

Bad Ragaz builds on a centuries-old tradition around natural spring water, but now combines it with modern healthcare. In addition to two extensive spas, the resort has its own medical centre for health checks, physiotherapy and recovery programmes.
Price tag: from approximately €625 per night for two people, including breakfast.

Lefay Resort & SPA Dolomiti – Italy

The Dolomites are more than just a view here. The 5,000 square metre spa combines Chinese medicine with Western techniques, while meditation and mountain activities are also part of the programme. A wellness concept where indoor and outdoor spaces deliberately flow into one another.
Price tag: from approximately €530 per night for two people.

Les Prés d'Eugénie – France

The most modest price tag of the five comes, surprisingly, from France. On this historic estate, natural spring water, tranquillity and gastronomy have played a leading role for generations. The legacy of chef Michel Guérard, a pioneer in light French gastronomy, is also clearly present here.
Price tag: from €270 per night.

On 18 September 2026, it will be announced which hotel receives the award.
