Artist Yvonne van der Made: 'the passion and magic of entrepreneurship drive me forward'

Artist Yvonne van der Made – VanDerMadeKunst – will also move her gallery to the Amsterdam RAI for five days this year. But before that happens, MASTERS first asks her a number of magical questions.

As an artist, Yvonne van der Made initially only made paintings on canvas. She has recently also started designing unique three-dimensional sculptures and wall objects made of sustainable materials in mixed media. She draws inspiration from nature through their shapes, movement, colors and energy. She wants to express the movement of that energy in her works of art. Visitors can admire her works of art in hall 11, but we are already getting to know the artist a little better.

When did the entrepreneurial magic start for you?

'At that time I came into contact with the business community through my work as an HR professional. This inspired me to start a business. My passion for art and the need to create ultimately led me to my entrepreneurship as an artist. The inspiration to develop art objects combined with the passion and magic of entrepreneurship is the driving force behind my activities.'

What is the most magical moment of your career?

'Applying the desire and ultimately the creation of the 3D sculptures and wall objects and the journey of discovery of materials in different ways. And reviewing and considering what solutions are possible to achieve the final result.'

What is your motto?

'You can't always choose what happens to you, but you do have a choice about how you deal with it.'

Which talents are indispensable for a successful entrepreneur?

'I think the following qualities are indispensable as an entrepreneur: passion, drive, perseverance, a positive mindset, intuition and, above all, just do it.'

What novelty will you bring to MASTERS EXPO in December?

'Unique, one piece, sustainable, innovative art objects in the form of sculptures and wall objects.'

What are the trends in the field of art in the coming year?

'The demand for personalization in unique, innovative single pieces. Statements and exclusivity in 3D objects.'
