Kunsthofpassage
The Kunsthofpassage is a good place to start your walk through Neustadt Dresden. This series of colorful courtyards is home to a variety of nice shops, cafes and art. In any case, take a look at the facades that have been decorated by various artists. Discover, among other things, the court of the animals, elements and mythical creatures. Be sure to take a look at the designer shops, flea markets, galleries and small fashion shops.
Carousel
The Relais & Châteaux Hotel Bülow Palais is the only hotel in Dresden with a star restaurant: Caroussel. The restaurant has recently been given a new look by Swiss star designer Carlo Rampazzi. Abstract sculptures stand in the corners and paintings from the 20th century hang on the walls. The tableware is also worth mentioning: Caroussel is one of the first restaurants in the world to rely completely and exclusively on Meissen porcelain. The plates, bowls and cups, which are used here in numerous shapes and sizes, belong to the Wellenspiel Relief series from the well-known manufacturer from Meissen.
Semperoper
The Semperoper, officially the Saxon State Opera, is the court and state opera of Saxony and the concert hall of the Saxon State Chapel Dresden. The building is named after architect Gottfried Semper, who started construction in 1838. Over the years the building has had to endure a lot: in 1869 it burned down completely; During the Second World War it was completely destroyed again, after which it was not accessible again until 1985; finally, in 2002, a flood destroyed part of the building. The SemperOper is considered one of the most beautiful opera houses in Europe.
