Taste
SMEG gives your cappuccino an extra taste of Italy
Toasters, citrus juicers, kettles and even a coffee set decorated with vibrant blue and white patterns. Once again the artistic minds of SMEG and Dolce & Gabbana joined forces…
With their cheerful colors and retro appearance, SMEG products are a true enrichment for any kitchen. It is not without reason that the credo of the family business is ''Tecnologia Che Arreda'', if we take a look at the Italian dictionary, this means ''Technology with style''. And the new collection is certainly stylish…
It is not the first time that the Italian family business and fashion designers have collaborated. Previous collaborations with Dolce & Gabbana resulted in the collections Frigorifero d'arte, Sicily is my love en Divina Cucina. In 2016, the two released 100 hand-painted refrigerators. In 2017, a hand-painted blender, toaster, kettle, citrus press, mixer and espresso machine adorned the collection. Here were the cheerful lemons, flowers and birds on the kitchen appliances, a subtle nod to the hometown of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, namely Sicily.
The new collection – called Mediterranean blue of small household appliances was created by SMEG with the design of Matteo Bazzicalupo and Raffaella Mangiarotti and the unmistakable creativity of Dolce & Gabbana.
Ode to the sea and sky
De vibrant blue and white patterns pay tribute to the colors of the sea and sky that intersect in a mix of shapes and illustrations. All products were made according to the example of one hand-painted prototype by an artist. This process is also called an artistic reproduction process.
In addition to toasters, citrus presses and kettles, you can now also give your coffee an extra touch of Italy. The coffee set, consisting of an espresso machine, coffee grinder and milk frother, completes the brand new Blu Mediterraneo collection. Look at here the entire collection.
