It is always a struggle: where do I leave my cell phone when I go out for dinner, drinks or going out? I find a no go in the back pocket of my skinny jeans and if I wear leggings or a short skirt it is completely impossible. So I am almost obliged to wear a jacket or take a large handbag that will fit it. And you don't always feel like doing that. With the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4, that struggle is a thing of the past. The 'Flip' is not only compact, it is also catchy and feels luxurious thanks to the sleek finish. I usually opt for a black device, just basic, nothing to complain about. But I like this color purple, it's something different. It is also available in blue, gold and gray. And you can also go for the 'Bespoke Edition', then you can choose a color combination yourself. I also see the phone call as a fashion item. He attracts attention. Especially when I'm sitting at a table in a restaurant or bar and it's unfolded in front of me at a 90-degree angle. Because how convenient: you can simply make hands-free video calls and selfies!
“The Galaxy Z Flip4 has two cameras on the back: a main camera and a wide-angle lens. It is not the device with which you will win the biggest photography prizes, fine for a snapshot, but the cameras are not very special. However, it excels at night, because it is equipped with the Night Mode function for the best quality photos in the dark. This also applies to the selfie camera. With its 10 megapixels it is fairly modest, but thanks to automatic post-processing and a better sensor you can take good selfies even in low light. And for me that is a huge plus. In my gallery you will mainly find photos of friends and selfies, memories of fun happenings. For me, the Flip is not so much a photography device, it feels much more like a super social device. My 'walking buddy' with whom I spend long nights. It is literally and figuratively flexible and very suitable for taking photos or videos from all kinds of angles, both from the front and the back.

In 2019, Samsung launched the very first foldable phone. Now three years later, this revolutionary development has reached a new peak with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4. “I carefully opened it and… I immediately fell in love.”
“Pretty much since there is no longer a cord on the phone, I have been using Samsung. I have had the entire Galaxy family in my pocket. Teething problems disappeared, the design became sleeker, the screen got bigger, just like the functionality, and the cameras... Almost every time I showed someone a photo on my cell phone, I was told: 'What good quality!' The Galaxy became my Hasselblad. When I got the chance to try out the Galaxy Z Fold4 for this edition, I drove to the Samsung Electronics Benelux office to pick it up the same day. I had previously 'felt' it in an electronics store at Schiphol. There he was chained up. Of course I had already heard of the fold-out model, didn't know what to think about it at the time, and now I had it in my hands for the first time. I carefully opened it and... fell in love immediately. As if I landed on another planet and a new world opened up before me. The size of the screen, the brightness of the image. The fact that this was possible: unfolding and closing a screen. The technical ingenuity: twice as many inches in a device with about the same size as my current Galaxy S20+.

Not only is it an unprecedented beauty that you would love to be seen with, the device also makes your life even more fun. A very big advantage is that you can open multiple screens at the same time by dragging apps from the new taskbar to the large main screen. For example, you can have your mailbox, Twitter and Google Photos appear in split-screen. And drag an image from Google Photos to Gmail to send it as an attachment. Super handy! Just like the feature that makes it possible to set combinations of apps, so that you can open them with one gesture at the same time. Samsung calls the Galaxy Z Fold4 a 'multitasking powerhouse with ultimate performance' and that is no lie.
