“It seems that in 2023 the roaring 20's are started. Despite bizarre price increases, a war in Europe and fear of recession, we go out en masse to enjoy ourselves together. For example, the number of visitors at MASTERS EXPO was higher than in previous years, festivals are sold out, carnival is more visited than ever and working from home seems to have been a hype - we prefer to meet at the office. Privately, we have once again embraced traveling and holidays en masse. At the time of writing, bookings are even higher than before corona. Have we learned nothing from the past three years? Yes: that the basic human need is personal contact. It is not only more fun to meet each other, it also contributes to a better result or experience. That need for contact is deeply ingrained in our DNA, simply because contact is the most important way of reproduction and cooperation is the most important strategy for survival. However, we will have to accept that all these contacts lead to more movements. Unfortunately, current transportation still has a negative impact on the well-being of the earth. However, we are on the eve of all kinds of new innovations such as hydrogen-powered flying. I would like to see what is possible. If we invest now in more sustainable transport, we can continue to spend our free time traveling in the future and therefore continue to meet each other.”
