New order of speed: these are the hypercars of tomorrow

Premium mobility is thundering into a new era, although sometimes you hardly hear it coming. From Japanese silence with almost otherworldly sprinting power to Chinese charging ambition, French watchmaking artistry, and Danish V12 madness: the hypercar world seems to have reinvented itself.
The silent storm from Japan
During the 2025 Salon Automobile de Lyon, the Japanese company Aspark unveiled its latest masterpiece: the OWL Roadster. This open-top hypercar elevates electric performance to an almost mythical level. Only 20 examples will be built worldwide, in collaboration with Manifattura Automobili Torino in Italy. The OWL Roadster is the evolution of the coupé that previously broke Guinness World Records with its unprecedented acceleration. The figures remain staggering: 1.953 hp, 1.920 Nm of torque, and a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 1,78 seconds. The top speed is electronically limited to 350 km/h, but theoretically, the car can reach 413 km/h. The design, personally overseen by founder Masanori Yoshida, exudes Japanese refinement: the owl as a symbol of silent precision and explosive power. The low, race-inspired seating position and the open roof offer a sensation that combines classic roadster romance with futuristic silence. The Aspark OWL Roadster is a symbol of Japanese craftsmanship, technological perfection, and pure emotion in motion. Expected price: around €3 million.
China's luxury titan storms into Europe
In April 2026, Denza, BYD's premium brand, makes its entry into the European market. The spearhead of the launch is the Z9 GT, a luxury shooting brake with both electric and plug-in hybrid powertrains, delivering around 1.000 hp and featuring a futuristic interior full of screens and smart technology. Thanks to four-wheel steering and the so-called 'crab mode,' it can even park sideways. But the real revolution lies in BYD's new Flash Charging technology: charging at 1.000 kW, providing a range of 400 kilometers in just five minutes. That makes 'flash charging' almost as fast as refueling. BYD is also rolling out its own network of fast-charging stations, where batteries act as energy buffers on-site. In addition to the Z9 GT, Denza is also working on the Z sports car, which was spotted at the Nürburgring. This electric coupe (presumably with three motors and 952 hp) is designed to take on Porsche. With its magnetic suspension and aerodynamic design, Denza seems ready to convince Europe: from range anxiety to pure electric ambition.
Mechanical masterpiece with 1.800 hp
In 2026, Bugatti ushers in a new era with the Tourbillon, the successor to the iconic Chiron. Only 250 examples will be hand-built in Molsheim, each priced starting at 3,8 million euros. The hypercar combines pure mechanical power with electric refinement: a brand-new 8,3-liter V16, developed with Cosworth, works alongside three electric motors for a stunning total output of 1.800 hp. With the legendary Speed Key, the Tourbillon reaches a top speed of 445 km/h, while accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h takes just 2,0 seconds. Remarkably, the plug-in hybrid is lighter than its predecessor and can also drive more than 60 kilometers on pure electric power. Inside, Bugatti opts for a timeless, almost watchmaker-like approach. The instrument panel is a Swiss precision clock that remains stationary while the steering wheel turns around it. The center console is finished with crystal glass and aluminum switches, and a subtle retractable screen appears only when needed. It is no coincidence that the name Tourbillon refers to a sophisticated timepiece mechanism: this is Bugatti's ode to analog perfection in a digital world – a symbiosis of art, technology, and speed.
Danish powerhouse of 1.850 hp
Denmark's Zenvo will launch the Aurora in 2026, a supercar with an insanely powerful drivetrain featuring a whopper of a combustion engine. The Zenvo Aurora comes in two flavors. The most powerful version, the Aurora Tur, is equipped with a 1.250 hp 6.6-liter V12 engine with four turbochargers and no fewer than three 200 hp electric motors. This brings the total system output to a whopping 1.850 hp and 1.700 Nm, good for acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 2,3 seconds, 0 to 200 km/h (124 mph) in 9 seconds, 0 to 400 km/h (149 mph) in just 17 seconds, and a top speed of 450 km/h (287 mph). The second version, the Aurora Agil, also features a 1.250 hp 6.6-liter V12 engine under the hood, but is supported by only a single 200 hp electric motor. The system output, at 1.450 hp and 1.400 Nm, is still nothing short of astonishing. The Agil reaches 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in 2,5 seconds, 200 km/h (122 mph) in 4,6 seconds, and 300 km/h (192 mph) in just 10 seconds, with a top speed of 365 km/h (227 mph). According to the Danes, both models offer an electric range of up to 35 kilometers (22 miles). Fifty units of both the Aurora Tur and the Aurora Agil will be built.
