Must-visit spots during Amsterdam Dance Event

From Wednesday October 18 to Sunday October 22, electronic music lovers can indulge themselves at one of the largest dance gatherings in the world: the Amsterdam Dance Event. In addition to a well-filled program with parties and celebrations, there are also numerous other activities. 

Rijksmuseum Soundtracks | Wednesday October 18

You can experience art in many ways. You read a sign, take a tour or listen to an audio guide. With the Rijksmuseum Soundtracks, the museum, together with various Dutch DJs, lets you look at art in a different way. This tour means fewer spoken words and, above all, a lot of music.

A Soundtrack tour of the Rijksmuseum takes between 30 and 50 minutes. You can download the Rijksmuseum App and listen to the tour for free with your own headphones or borrow an audio set from the museum.

Nan Goldin at the Stedelijk | Thursday October 19th

Nan Goldin presents the exhibition This Will Not End Well in the largest room of the Stedelijk. Slideshows consisting of thousands of her most vulnerable and personal photos in six unique buildings, supported by voice-overs and music.

Binkbeats in The Concertgebouw | Friday October 20

For his new project OHM Binkbeats collaborates with multidisciplinary artist Henk Schut. His electro-acoustic objects are combined with ritual percussion and influences from modern dance music. Documentary Eye Film Museum | Saturday October 21

On Saturday, October 21, Gabriëlle Provaas's moving documentary will premiere in Eye Film Museum. The documentary Invisible highlights the unnoticed heroes who keep our country clean every day. From schools and offices to hospitals and streets, they are working everywhere, tirelessly and modestly. The soundtrack was created by Bas Bron (Fatima Yahama, The Youth of Today).
