Ferrari pulls the covers off a brand new thoroughbred and MASTERS naturally takes a look. With the Amalfi, Ferrari not only presents the successor to the Roma, but also their latest entry-level model.

Anyone who looks at the Ferrari price list soon will see that the Amalfi will be the new basic model of the brand. Until now, that was the Roma Spider, but the coupé version of the Roma was unexpectedly taken out of production earlier. With the Amalfi, Ferrari is now launching a new coupé on the market, which has been technically further improved and has a more modern design. 

In terms of looks, the Amalfi remains true to the elegant lines of the Roma, but everything looks a little sharper and tighter. The eye-catcher is Verde Costiera, a turquoise color that is reminiscent of the glittering sea along Italy's Amalfi coast. Technically, Ferrari fortunately continues to stick to the proven 3,9-liter V8 biturbo from the F154 family. But now it delivers 640 hp, twenty more than the Roma. With that, the Amalfi sprints to 3,3 km/h in 100 seconds and reaches a top speed of 320 km/h. 

Inside, the differences are subtle but tangible. The Roma’s gigantic cockpit feel has been somewhat restrained, the central screen is lower and now horizontal. The steering wheel gets physical buttons again, including the iconic red start button. 

Furthermore, the Amalfi is equipped with all modern conveniences, such as a 10,25-inch central screen, the option of massage seats and a luxury sound system from Burmester®. There have also been many technical improvements: the rear spoiler can automatically rise and then provides extra pressure on the road at high speed, and the new braking system and electronic assistance systems make driving more precise and safer.
