On the shores of Lake Washington stands Triptych: a cutting-edge villa that not only sets the skyline but also sets real estate records in the region. Should this architectural gem sell for the asking price of $79 million, it would easily become the most expensive home sale ever in Washington state.

Designed by renowned architect Tom Kundig, Triptych is located in the exclusive town of Bellevue, just northeast of Seattle. This modern estate was commissioned in 2016 by a family passionate about art and togetherness. Wood, steel, and expansive glass expanses blend together to create a spectacular ensemble, spanning three floors and offering approximately 1.370 square meters of living space. 

The interior offers six bedrooms and nine bathrooms. At the heart of the house is a stunning atrium with roll-up glass walls—a signature Kundig design feature—that allows the views of Lake Washington to be fully appreciated. There are also several living and dining areas, a kitchen with a center island and high-end appliances, a wet bar, a library, and a luxurious master suite with a private terrace, a sitting room, and a bathroom equipped with a sauna, steam room, and freestanding bathtub. 

Outside, the property boasts over 1,4 hectares of grounds, designed by landscape architects GGN. It includes an infinity pool, a lakeside pavilion with a fireplace and built-in barbecue, and a private dock. There's also a separate gym and a wine cellar with space for over 10.000 bottles of wine.

If Triptych actually sells for the asking price, it would break the current record for the most expensive home sale in Washington state. That record has been held since earlier this year by a Hunts Point estate, once owned by Jeff Bezos, which changed hands for $63 million.
