High fashion by the sea: six designer takeovers
Spend this summer on the Mediterranean and you may find yourself in the world of an international fashion house. From Marbella to Bodrum, beach clubs, swimming pools and hotel terraces become temporary settings for major designer brands. These are not traditional pop-ups, but total experiences where fashion, hospitality and design merge. Six striking takeovers from summer '26.
Dolce & Gabbana × CLAP HOUSE — Ibiza
Dolce & Gabbana brings its distinctive Italian signature to Ibiza this summer. At CLAP HOUSE, the recognizable Leo motif takes centre stage, appearing around the pool and in various hospitality and wellness spaces. A temporary Dolce & Gabbana boutique featuring items from the summer collection completes the takeover.
Off-White™ × La Plage Casanis — Marbella
On the Marbella coast, La Plage Casanis receives the Off-White™ signature this summer. Under the banner DAYS OFF, the fashion house outfits the beach club with its recognizable visual codes, from parasols and loungers to towels. A special collection with exclusive items is also available. The Mediterranean setting gains a substantial dose of streetwear culture.
Jacquemus × Mandarin Oriental Bodrum — Turkey
Jacquemus knows better than most how to make a summer destination part of a brand world. This summer, Blue Beach at Mandarin Oriental, Bodrum is its turn. Striped details, backgammon sets and paddleboards carry the signature of the French fashion house. Jacquemus also opened a temporary boutique at the resort.
Burberry × Hôtel Belles Rives — Côte d'Azur
On the French Riviera, Burberry brings its British signature to the Côte d'Azur. Burberry has outfitted Hôtel Belles Rives in Juan-les-Pins with a summer interpretation of the famous check. The specially designed blue Burberry Check runs from the beach club and terraces to the jetty and remains part of the historic hotel through September.
Dior × D Maris Bay — Turkey
Dior also heads to the coast this summer. At D Maris Bay, located on the Turkish peninsula of Datça, the Dior identity extends across the pool and surrounding loungers and accessories. The collaboration is part of Dior's Riviera concept and coincides with a new chapter for the fashion house under creative director Jonathan Anderson.
Alo × GiGi Bodrum — Turkey
Wellness brand Alo settles at GiGi Bodrum this summer, part of Mandarin Oriental, Bodrum. The temporary takeover focuses not only on design but above all on wellbeing. Alongside Alo loungers and a special juice menu, yoga, sculpture classes, meditation and floating sound baths are on the programme. A temporary Alo Sanctuary featuring accessories from the Atelier Collection completes the collaboration.
Hospitality as an extension of the fashion house
The five collaborations underscore a trend that is becoming increasingly visible: fashion houses no longer confine their world to clothing, campaigns and stores. Hotels, restaurants and beach clubs are becoming temporary extensions of the brand. This summer, the front row is notably often by the sea.
