A TV that disappears: LG's transparent OLED TV unveiled

During the exclusive preview of MASTERS EXPO in Amsterdam on December 11, 2025, LG Electronics unveiled the LG SIGNATURE OLED TV: a 77-inch 4K OLED TV that can be fully transparent and transmit images and sound wirelessly. The device was on display throughout the trade show, featuring a biophilic interior design concept at the Studio Co van der Horst booth.

A screen that disappears into space

The OLED TV stood out because of its concept that a television no longer needs to be a black surface in the interior. In transparent mode, light and sightlines remained intact, making the screen feel more like an architectural element than a traditional display. With a single switch, the panel switched to a traditional display for full-fledged TV and video images.

True wireless without cable dominance

LG also demonstrated its true wireless setup with the Zero Connect Box. Video and audio signals were transmitted wirelessly, allowing for more flexible placement: away from wall units, cable routes, or fixed "TV corners." In the biophilic setting, this enhanced the spatial effect—technology present, but visually in the background.

Biophilic design as a framework for technology

The concept "The Future Living in Biophilic Design" combined technology with daylight, organic shapes, and natural materials. The transparent OLED served as a focal point without disrupting the tranquility of the interior. LG also linked the presentation to energy efficiency and a focus on more sustainable material choices, in line with its own ESG ambitions.
