Corendon announced the winners of the first-ever Corendon Courage Awards at MASTERS EXPO. The awards ceremony took place on Thursday, December 11th, at the HOUSE OF GREATNESS during MASTERS EXPO. With these new awards, Corendon is showcasing five exceptional individuals who excel in courage and decisiveness in the categories Creative Artist, Sports, Fearless Founder, Impact Hero, and the Oeuvre Award. The winners received an object featuring a work by visual artist Lieuwe van Gogh and a cash prize intended to facilitate further social impact. The jury, consisting of Arthur van Dijk, Wendy van Dijk, Merlin Melles, Najib Amhali and Gunay Uslu, selected winners who each show in their own way what becomes possible if you dare.

Lifetime Achievement Award: Dick Advocaat

The Lifetime Achievement Award honors someone who, through a long career and tireless dedication, has made a lasting impression. For decades, Dick Advocaat has demonstrated what can be achieved when you combine talent with vision and perseverance. He recently achieved something virtually unimagined: he took Curaçao to the World Cup, the smallest country ever to compete in the world's biggest tournament. Dick shatters records, has shaped generations of players, and pushed boundaries.

Creative Artist: Umut Veysel Demirtaş

Umut Veysel Demirtaş is a jack-of-all-trades. Instead of attending the conservatory, he chose to study electrical engineering. But that doesn't mean he abandoned music. Fortunately, not. As a pianist and composer, he breaks boundaries and tells new, beautiful stories with his music.

Sports: Don Sno

Don Sno is a kickboxer from the GLORY stable, who started at a young age and has since won several professional fights, three of which by knockout. Outside the ring, he's committed to youth development, knowing firsthand what it's like to be affected by the child benefit scandal and other forms of injustice.

Fearless Founder: Monica Geuze

Monica Geuze is a vlogger, presenter, podcaster, and businesswoman. She's always more than meets the eye: she's developed long-term products and helped brands grow. Beneath all the visible work she does, lies a driven entrepreneur who knows exactly how to build an audience, choose a direction, and capitalize on opportunities.

Impact Hero: Eva Eikhout

Eva Eikhout made her breakthrough as a program maker and presenter through the BNNVARA Academy and created the YouTube series "Weet Wat Je Date" (Know What You Date) and "Eva en de Eva's" (Eva and the Evas). She regularly speaks for companies, municipalities, and government ministries, and in her theater lectures and podcasts, she demonstrates how to make difficult topics accessible through humor and self-deprecation.
