MASTERS Stories
These are the shows of Milan Fashion Week
All eyes in fashion are on Milan this week. New creative directors, major Italian fashion houses and a packed show schedule give plenty to look forward to. MASTERS runs through the shows and names that deserve attention at this Milan Fashion Week.
Prada set the tone on Tuesday. Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons built the entire collection around a single garment: the skirt. All 63 looks revolved around variations from mini to A-line, in leather and pleated fabrics. A notably focused choice for a house that is also in the midst of a much larger business movement: Prada Group. It completed the acquisition of Versace at the end of 2025, a deal valued at €1.25 billion.
On the opening evening, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II became the setting for Vogue World: Milano, a major fashion show featuring names such as Jennifer Lopez, J Balvin, Hunter Schafer and Aryna Sabalenka. The show was about more than fashion, but also about Italian craftsmanship, technique and creativity. The previous four editions of Vogue World together raised more than 7 million dollars for local cultural and educational projects. The proceeds from the Milan edition go in part to the library of Quarto Oggiaro.
The most notable shows this week:
Marni – Thursday 24 September, 14.00
