LEO Flight's flying car

Is it a bird, is it a plane? No, it's the electric LEO Coupe; aka the flying car from LEO Flight. The company is introducing a three-seater car design powered by a fully electric jet engine after two years of research.   Text: Fleur de Jong
Image: Leo FlightLEO Flight, formerly known as Urban eVTOL, has presented a manned prototype for a flying hypercar which the company says will eventually be able to carry three people and reach speeds of up to 400 kilometers per hour. Due to its compact size, the LEO Flight could be used as a private property, as an air taxi and as a vehicle in places where space is limited or land infrastructure is underdeveloped. So standing in traffic jams is a thing of the past...

Future

The LEO Coupe is the brainchild of two makers who had the desire to build an aircraft that differs from the appearance of an airplane or helicopter. Pete Bitar and Carlos Salaff founded the company in the spring of 2020, in the middle of the corona pandemic. The two founders see a future in air mobility and hope that life on the ground and in the air will become greener, less stressful and more peaceful.

The LEO Coupe's propulsion system is fully electric and the rotors are safely tucked into the wings so as not to pose a hazard to those around the vehicle. 5G will also be integrated into the hypercar so that you can check in for your flight or hotel room en route.
