Happy Birthday Amsterdam | H'ART Museum
At the H'ART Museum, 75 artists celebrate the soul of Amsterdam with the exhibition Happy Birthday Amsterdam. Don't expect a historical overview, but a lively mix of artworks that depict the city through the centuries. Think of icons such as Karel Appel, Marina Abramović and Marlene Dumas, who captured Amsterdam from their unique perspective. An ode to the city, its inhabitants and its creativity.
The exhibition can be seen until March 16, 2025.
Climb the roof of the New Church Amsterdam
This is your chance to see Amsterdam from a perspective that few have ever experienced. For the first time – and probably the last time – De Nieuwe Kerk is opening its roof to the public. From 22 March to 2 November 2025, you can climb an exclusive route to a platform 40 metres high. This view, normally reserved for restorers and craftsmen, reveals a spectacular panorama of the city, from the Royal Palace to the A'DAM Tower.

Amsterdam: 750 years of city rights | The Concertgebouw Amsterdam
In honor of 750 years of city rights, the NTR ZaterdagMatinee will present a special concert that celebrates the rich musical history of the city. With new compositions by Calliope Tsoupaki and Jeff Hamburg, and music by Amsterdam greats such as Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck and Louis Andriessen, the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra will take you on a journey through centuries of Amsterdam sounds. A tribute to the creativity and culture that have shaped the city for centuries.
The concert will take place on Saturday, March 8, with performances from 13:40 PM – 16:35 PM and 14:15 PM – 16:35 PM; tickets are available here.
Grand Amsterdam Street Football Tournament
In honor of 750 years of Amsterdam, the city will become one big playground during the largest street football tournament ever. Youngsters aged 10 to 15 can participate for free on squares and fields throughout Amsterdam. But it's not just about football - fun, teamwork and the city's unique street culture are central. The preliminary rounds start this month and lead to a final in the summer of 2025, at a still secret location. An initiative of the municipality of Amsterdam in collaboration with the Johan Cruyff Foundation and FC Straat.

Art'otel brings together art, music and nightlife during 750 After Dark. During the day, admire the street art exhibition 750, where talented artists perform live and you can join in. In the evening, the party gets going with DJs, interactive art and a special art auction. A unique celebration of Amsterdam's creative spirit, completely in the style of this vibrant city. Free admission and a must-visit for art and party lovers.
