THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE LARGEST WORK OF ART IN THE WORLD

There are plenty of examples of amazing structures in Dubai, but Israeli artist Zygo and his creative team plan to take the crown with the construction of the Clothesline Tower. By 2023, the artwork, consisting of 40 floors and a height of 170 meters, will grace the Dubai skyline.Text: Fleur de Jong

Two complementary halves

In 2023, the company The Clothespin will transform Zygo' s artwork into a realistic project that brings together two complementary halves, as seen in the daily clothespin. Indeed, the iconic tower will be divided into two halves, one of which will serve as a hotel for guests. The other half will consist of 300 apartments. There is also 10,000 square meters of space for shopping centers, art galleries, restaurants and more.The Israeli artist hopes to add a symbol of love and peace to the Dubai skyline with the tower. The theory behind the artwork is that two halves, or to wit, two souls together form a perfect unity and work together in harmony. For the artist, this is at the same time a metaphor for the future relationship of Israel and the UAE.The unique project is in full swing and currently looking for strategic partners, for arranging building permits, among other things. The artist hopes to realize the impressive artwork in 2023.
