Living in four seasons

Water and sedges: two important factors that ultimately guided the design. The residents bought a home that hadn't had anything done to it for years. They found inspiration in an earlier design by MASTERS COMPANY ENZO architecture and interior design.

Connected to the outside

Architects Carlo Abdul and Jasper van Rijn chose a spacious design with lots of light and ceiling-high doors. The extension with its abundance of glass, deliberately designed to contrast with the existing building. The sliding doors that can be fully opened to enjoy the water optimally: inside and outside connected.

ENZO's signature

In the ceiling-high doors of the own label ZOEN by ENZO, the vertical slats from outside are reflected. As in on the room divider in the bathroom and next to the fireplace. One of ENZO's signatures that caught the residents' eye. Details, such as the mitred marble-look plates in the bathroom and kitchen, give the design that little bit extra.

One with the seasons

The various vistas, a skylight above the dining table: all deliberately designed for a spacious and outward-facing home. In this house, you can see the seasons pass by. The residents enjoy the sloops and sailboats in the summer and the wind on the water when the weather turns. Consequently, the window seat is the favorite spot for a cup of coffee.
