Pride and Prejudice

This 2005 release is the most recent film adaptation of Jane Austen's literary classic, starring Keira Knightley. Set in late eighteenth-century England, the five Bennet sisters, including the determined Elizabeth played by Keira Knightley, are raised by their mother with a single goal in mind: to find a suitable husband and marry him. So when a wealthy bachelor moves into a nearby estate, the sisters are in for a treat.

 

Le Fabuleux Destinin d'Amélie Poulain

Probably the soundtrack sounds familiar to you, as the piano piece became immensely popular after the film. Amélie Poulain lives in the heart of Paris. She works in a café and has a nice apartment. The only thing standing in the way of her happiness is loneliness. When the young woman meets one Nino, however, her life takes a new, exciting turn. The French romcom gives a romanticized account of life in Montmartre, Paris, and was awarded four Césars internationally.

The Notebook 

If you really want an evening of melting away in your lover's arms, this classic is well suited. The plot unfolds largely through flashbacks. Allie Hamilton comes to the small town of Seabrook, North Carolina, in the early 1940s to vacation with her family. There she meets Noah Calhoun, who falls in love with her from the first moment. Despite their very different backgrounds, the two experience a summer filled with passion and passion. But when Allie moves away and Noah enlists in the military, the romance seems over. But in the end, it turns out that love conquers all.

P.S I Love You

When Gerry dies, his wife Holly's life is turned upside down. Despite frantic attempts by friends to cheer her up, Holly locks herself up all alone in her apartment. On her thirtieth birthday, only completely unexpectedly, she receives a birthday card from the late Gerry with instructions. His goal? Making sure Holly rebuilds a new life. Little tip before you put this movie on play: make sure to have box of tissues ready....

Letters To Juliet

Another movie where love letters take center stage. In the mega-sweetLetters To Juliet, protagonist Sophie goes on vacation to Verona. There she finds an unrequited letter to an unrequited love. Sophie gets in touch with Englishwoman Claire, who as a 15-year-old had to let go of her lover. She agrees to go in search of that lost love.
