The Kunsthofpassage is a good place to start your stroll through Neustadt Dresden. This succession of colorful courtyards houses a host of quaint stores, cafes and art. Be sure to check out the facades worked by various artists. Among other things, discover the court of animals, elements and fabulous animals. Also be sure to check out the designer stores, flea markets, galleries and small fashion boutiques.

Carousel

The Relais & Châteaux Hotel Bülow Palais is the only hotel in Dresden with a starred restaurant: Caroussel. The restaurant was recently given a new look by Swiss star designer Carlo Rampazzi. There are abstract sculptures in the corners and paintings from the 20th century hang on the walls. The tableware is also worth mentioning: In fact, Caroussel is one of the first restaurants in the world to rely entirely and exclusively on Meissen porcelain. The plates, bowls and cups, used here in numerous shapes and sizes, belong to the Wellenspiel Relief series by the famous manufacturer from Meissen.

Semperoper

The Semperoper, officially the Sächsische Staatsoper, is the court and state opera of Saxony and the concert hall of the Sächsische Staatskapelle Dresden. The building is named after architect Gottfried Semper, who started construction in 1838. Over the years, the building has had a lot to endure: it burned down completely in 1869; it was completely destroyed again during World War II, after which it was not accessible again until 1985; finally, in 2002, a flood destroyed part of the building. The SemperOper is considered one of the finest opera houses in Europe.

Despite the historical undertones, the hotel has the perfect touch of modernity.
