Sweet escape close to home

Dream away at the gold of the wide beaches with fine-grained sand, position yourself in a beach chair with an aperitif or stroll along the Zeedijk past terraces and art galleries. For those still looking for a sweet escape close to home this summer; Belgium's Knokke-Heist is a true must-visit.

Discover each of the five neighborhoods, full of world-class gastronomy, shopping and art: lively Knokke, elegant Zoute, familiar Heist, hip Duinbergen and natural Polders. Each has its own character, and offers its own experience. Hospitality takes shape here in hundreds of unique stores, restaurants, brasseries, art galleries, events and exhibitions, hotels and guesthouses. They seduce with authentic charm or worldly style.

However, for those who want a more sporty approach, the Royal Zoute Golf Club is a good base. Here you can enjoy one of Belgium's most prestigious golf courses on 80 acres and 36 holes.

Hidden Gem

Royal Zoute's course has many admirers. Nick Faldo, who has three times the Masters and British Open on his record, once called the outdoor course a a hidden gem. A hidden gem that he couldn't get enough of. The Brit won the Belgian Open here in 1994, which has been organized in Knokke several times in recent decades.

After a day on the course you can visit the restaurant for a meal or just a refreshing drink. Now, should you want to make it all the way; Royal Zoute Golf Club also has a hotel.
