Stulpje Beyoncé: most expensive house in California

Earlier, it was revealed that Beyoncé's Renaissance tour generated nearly €2 billion. That business is booming is obvious. Indeed, along with hubby Jay-Z, the singer recently became the new owner of the most expensive house ever sold in the entire state of California.

The couple's new acquisition sits on a cliff with 8 acres of land with generous views of the Pacific Ocean in the Paradise Cove area. The spot is also known as Billionaires' Row because many billionaires have bought homes there.

Architect Tadao Ando designed the minimalist masterpiece of concrete and glass with a living area of more than 3,700 square meters. The new shell was commissioned by art collector William Bell, who bought the land in 2003. The house is L-shaped and features large hallways, an outdoor pool and meters-high windows.

Firmly negotiated

According to sources, the gigantic villa was on silent sale for about €273 million. Nevertheless, the couple managed to negotiate well, eventually signing for €185 million. With this purchase, the villa is the most expensive home ever sold in California.

The previous record was held by entrepreneur and billionaire Marc Andreessen. For about €157 million, he bought a nearby property in 2021.
