Schools with high net worth alumni

Previously, MASTERS shared some successful entrepreneurs who decided to quit their education early. However, a paper from the world's leading universities will get you there, too. This time, we list some schools that can count its alumni among the world's most wealthy.

Harvard University

Harvard is known as the world's most prestigious universities with very high admission requirements for (prospective) students, high tuition fees, high salaries for professors-including several Nobel laureates-and a high probability of excellent paying jobs after graduation. For example, the university reportedly produced 29 billionaires to date. Some alumni include Steve Ballmer, former CEO of Microsoft, and businessman Jorge Paulo Lemann.

Columbia University

Columbia is the oldest institution of higher learning in New York State and has some 27,000 students across two campuses both located in Manhattan. The university has a great reputation in many branches of science. Columbia University has an acceptance rate of 5.6%. A well-known former student who passed the selection, for example, is billionaire Warren Buffet. After the University of Pennsylvania, he went to Columbia University Business School. Meanwhile, the businessman's wealth is estimated at about €98 billion. Henry Kravis also graduated from the university in 1969. He founded the American investment firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co.

Mumbai University

Founded in 1857, this is one of the oldest universities in India. In number of graduates, the university is also one of the largest in the world. Similarly, 20 billionaires graduated from it. Of these 20 billionaires, 16 inherited their wealth from relatives. One of them is Mukesh Ambani, the owner of Reliance Industries. But Uday Kotak is also one of the alumni. In 1985, he started a finance company that grew into India's top bank. In 2014, he took over the Indian operations of ING Bank. His assets are estimated at about €13.6 billion.

University of Cambridge

The University of Cambridge is a university in the English city of Cambridge and, along with that of Oxford, is among the most famous and oldest universities in the United Kingdom. Famous names who studied here, or taught here, include Isaac Newton, James Watson, Charles Darwin and 14 prime ministers of the United Kingdom. Four of the former students are now billionaires. Among them Andrew Christopher, owner of INEOS Pharmaceuticals. Another billionaire alumnus is Mark Coombs, CEO of the Ashmore Group.
