The cork-covered deck provides grip, stays cool in the sun and looks nice too. The interior is lined with bamboo, palm leaf and recycled denim. The result of these sustainable material choices is a boat that is more comfortable and better able to withstand the elements. Luxury racer Club Swan 36

Swan is the most celebrated and successful sailing yacht brand, designing winning ocean racers and luxury yachts to sail around the world. Professionals build eye-catching sailing ships at the Oy Nautor AB shipyard in Pietarsaari, Finland. The newest racer from the yard is the Club Swan 36. The design comes from the celebrated Argentinian Juan Kouyoumdjian, who designed winning yachts for the Volvo Ocean Race.

The Club Swan 36 has a foil, a profile that helps the boat to sail high upwind and also lifts it a little out of the water. Flying above the water will not happen, but the Club Swan will easily leave many larger racing yachts behind. The boats do not sail competitions between 'normal' boats, but exclusive competitions against each other. Swan has created a single class of the Club Swan 36. If all boats are the same, the best sailor wins, or so the idea goes. The competitions take place around all European coasts and are sailed with an exclusive group of Swan owners. The skipper who sails a lap on the IJsselmeer between the races will be looked at with saliva by all the sailors and will attract a lot of attention in every harbor with this racehorse of the regatta course.

TF 10

The impressive images of the America’s Cup, where, after years of training, professional sailors were able to sail their enormous catamarans on hydrofoils around the race course, quickly recover when they see the TF 10 in gliding flight.

Fortunately, the trimaran on hydrofoils can also be sailed by ordinary water sports enthusiasts. Through years of experience in building racing boats on hydrofoils, we know Holland Composites from Lelystad very well how a low-flying sailboat finds balance and can be built sturdy enough. The experience is astonishing: as soon as the wind blows in the sails, the boat picks up speed and then slowly rises and floats above the water.
