Robot Gita makes travel a lot more palatable

Futuristic travel

Seattle Airport recently introduced ''OrderSEA,'' a mobile ordering service that connects travelers to 16 restaurants at the airport allowing you to quickly pick up an order at, say, McDonalds when you are short on time. The new service now includes gate-delivery robot Gita, which allows orders to be delivered from Seattle airport restaurants to any point in the airport. In addition to time, according to the airport commissioner, travel will also be less stressful when you can skip a busy line at a restaurant, for example.

Robot Gita can store up to 18 kilograms of food and deliver it to the terminal for a fee of €2.55. For now, the robot is accompanied by a human, but if demand for the service increases, several unaccompanied Gita will soon be driving around the terminals.

In addition to the state-of-the-art delivery robot, Seattle Airport will soon make it possible to reserve a time slot for security check and parking reservation. Talk about futuristic travel...
