PROJECT OCEAN: SUSTAINABLE & LUXURY

The boat industry is catching up sustainably; electric sailing is becoming increasingly popular and the production process is also keeping up with the times. So brings high speed boat manufacturer Arksen will launch a spectacular yacht made from recycled aluminum and plastic bottles in 2022. Explore the sea

Project Ocean is currently under construction at the Wight Shipyard Company. This sustainable Explore series was specially created to push the boundaries of maritime design. The showpiece must be sleek, robust and, above all, environmentally friendly and the experts will ensure that Humphreys Yacht Design for. First of all, the hull is designed in an efficient manner so that emissions are limited. In addition, the entire boat is made from recycled aluminum and this can be reused at the end of its lifespan. Also has Project Ocean a full hybrid propulsion. With a top speed of 14 knots and a cruising speed of between 9 and 11 knots, this means that no destination is unattainable. The luxury ship will also be equipped with solar panels that produce carbon-free energy. Even the luxurious furniture is covered with fabrics made from recycled plastic bottles. Four cabins, including a master suite, will accommodate 12 people on board. Construction of Project Ocean will take a total of 18 months and sea trials are expected to be held in the spring of 2022.
